After Opus

The majority of our students take our courses for their own satisfaction and to develop their personal creativity as well as their practical skills.

The majority taking Level 2 or Level 3 City & Guilds Certificate courses will go on to the more advanced Diploma courses and then to our Advanced Course, Masterclass or BA (Hons) Embroidered Textiles. At this level students are invited to apply for membership of our Prism Group with the valuable opportunity to exhibit alongside other students and established textile artists in a prestigious London venue.

Our BA students have already made a name for themselves following their graduation. Several continue academic study in pursuit of Post Graduate qualifications. A pleasing number have been selected for the Licentiate or Membership of the Society of Designer Craftsmen with the opportunity of showing their work in the Society’s exhibitions. Others are finding that teaching is a rewarding way of using their talents.

Opus has become known for the high standard of tuition which gives students the skill and confidence to practise as independent artists
